Our Mission

Broekman Technology Pty Ltd is an Australian company (ACN 639873733) formed by Eduard Broekman with the goal to:

(1) Provide affordable and vendor-independent advice and services for K-12 schools. We think this is lacking, apart from organisations like the AIS and Educate+. We intent to bring you specialists ranging from online educators and technical specialists to managers that have created and implemented multiple IT strategic plans.

(2) Develop assets, such as software and software as a service, with exceptional robustness, ease of use and designed to optimise entire workflows in areas currently poorly served. We think systems should stop being on-demand tools and move towards a data-driven environment that delivers actionable information, to the right person, at the right time, automatically. Equally essential are the reporting and escalation/approval flows to assist higher management to make better decission, by being better informed and have reduced demands on their time.

Our Staff

Eduard Broekman is the principal consultant for Broekman Technology. He has previously worked 7 years for Edumate (Student Management Systems) as lead implementation consultant and in product development. After this, he operated a K-12 consultancy business for 3 years at Eduverve (see below) and was consequently contracted for 3 years at the The Anglican School Corporation as a Manager Business Systems, overhauling the billing system and a range of system integrations.

Over the last 13 years, Eduard has worked with over 50* independent K-12 schools to improve and automate internal processes, help with product selection, migrate and end-end implementation of new systems, rescue failed SMS and LMS implementations, integrate systems (AD, IAM, LMS, SMS, ERP, Library, Portals, Mobile Apps), write reports, analyse data, train staff and generally provide value and innovate school processes utilising information technology.

Jodie Fairweather has extensive sales and account manager experience for companies like Adobe, Optus and other technology companies. She currently works part-time for Broekman Technology in as the company secretary, keeping our projects on track. She will head up sales in due time.

Boris Vasiljevic is an independent contractor for Broekman Technology and provides graphic design for our projects and clients. He has 20 years experience in graphic design, app/ux design, with his core strength in logo design and building strong corporate identities. Dave Youl is a business associate with a 20 experience in education, both as teacher and IT manager. Due to that background, Dave is the ideal person to assist schools to formulate and execute strategic IT plans where the pedagogy is cohesively embedded.

EduVerve – precursor to Broekman Technology.

Broekman Technology was preceded by Eduverve, the K-12 IT Consultancy business that Eduard Broekman ran between 2013 and 2016. This succesful venture was gradually wound down between June and October 2016. Eduverve served over 20 K-12 schools in and around the Sydney area. Some of the projects included:

  • A full Edumate student management implementation at St. Andew’s Cathedral School Sydney, including billing and an integration with the NAB banking portal and uniform shop POS.
  • Re-implementation Edumate and training of IT staff. End to end project support from decission paper to implementation and integration of Studentnet IAM and Canvas LMS at SCEGGS Redlands Cremorne. Creation of VTR and excursion workflow. Academic Reports design overhaul. Complete management suite for attendance, reporting and enrolments.
  • A long list of projects at Emanuel School Randwick, including student growth alerts and reports, excursion workflow, studentNet IAM integration, Canvas LMS Sync, full attendance workflow, enrolments …
  • An ELC and Junior student profile project for Scots College Bellevue Hill to provide a comprehensive aggregate self-compiling report on each student for year-to-year handover between teachers.
